Tonight we’ve got our final practice before tomorrow’s acoustic all-dayer at The Rutland Arms.
We’ll be on around 3pm so if you’re coming down to see us then make sure you get there for the start.

We’re very excited to have been asked to play at the Sparkle-coustic Sunday! event next month in Sheffield.
It is taking place on Sunday 19 February upstairs at one of Sheffield’s finest city centre pubs, The Rutland Arms. Eight bands are playing between 3pm to 9pm (ish), including Standard Fare and Pete Green. It is completely acoustic with no microphones or PA so it should be quite intimate.
We can’t wait. Thanks to Pete for organising it. It is a fiver on the door.

Thanks to those that came to see us at The Green Room last week. Hopefully the sound problems (and our bad playing) weren’t too much of a distraction!
We’re next playing live on February 19th and will have more details soon.
Robberie at The Green Room
This is very late notice, but we’ve been asked to play at The Green Room in Sheffield tomorrow night (Thursday 12 January), along with a couple of other acoustic bands.
We’ll be playing a 20-30 minute set and should be on around 9:30pm. If you can come down then we’d love to see you there – it is free entry!
We’re hoping to finish off the year with a short performance at The Green Room open mic night in Sheffield on Monday 12 December.
The plan is to turn up, put our name down and play three songs using borrowed instruments. So it isn’t a full gig. There’ll be lots of other people playing. Who knows, if it is really busy, we may not even get on.
But if you fancy popping down – it is free entry – then we’ll see you there. We think the live music starts about 9pm.
We were very excited last night to get an email that said we’d just been played on the radio. We quickly tuned in to Radio Sheffield and I look back on this city and fall in love with her again was playing right at that moment!
It was on our local BBC Introducing show with Christian Carlisle. You can listen to it again for the next seven days on iPlayer (our song starts at 29 minutes 19 seconds).
And we were dead chuffed to hear it described as a ‘beautiful indie-folk’ and ‘an acoustic gem’. Thanks, Christian!

An exciting email
We’ve been busy doing some recording at home. You can now listen to three of our songs and even download them if you want.
They are only in demo form so are pretty rough around the edges but you’ll get the idea!
A song about Sheffield.
We know things are a bit quiet! After our Tramlines performance, summer holidays got in the way of band stuff. We took it in turns to go away and Val embarked on her annual world tour where she left Sheffield for all six weeks of her holiday. Before we knew it, it was autumn.
Anyway, we’ve got back together and are getting back up to speed with the old songs and a couple of new ones, too. Plus, we’ve decided to do one or two more covers so are experimenting with those to see what works with a guitar, bass and glock/mighty Rapman keyboard.
I’ve also been recording a couple of demos of our songs at home. If these turn out any good, we’ll put them online.
And as soon as there is news of a live performance, you’ll find out on here…

Not much else to say for now except if you came to see us play on the Tramlines busker bus then thanks! It was great fun.
We don’t have any clips of songs online yet but hope to sort that out soon.
