You’ll no doubt have already seen that our debut album Beneath your city; as you dream… is released on Friday 27 May – here’s how you can pre-order your copy and also get your hands on an exclusive download before then.
We’re also planning some really special gigs around the time of the album’s release:
Thursday 26 May | The Red Deer pub, Pitt Street
As much as we love playing at our usual venue of The Rutland Arms, we thought we’d shake things up this time and do our launch at another of our favourite pubs.
Like the Rutland, The Red Deer on Pitt Street has a lovely upstairs room, perfect for unplugged acoustic music. Once we saw it had fairy lights permanently installed up there we knew it would work.
Joining us on the night as special guests are our friends Lofter who we have actually played with before a couple of times downstairs at The Red Deer. They do a fine line in fabulous acoustic songs – including this one, which incorporates the rather nifty (and beautiful) sounds of a guitar-mounted music box. We’ve insisted they use this when they play at our launch gig!
The evening is completely FREE and obviously copies of our new album will be on sale. If you’re on Facebook then please RSVP to let us know you’re coming and spread the word!
Thursday 2 June | The King and Queen pub, Fitzrovia
We were booked in to play Totally Acoustic again months ago, and thankfully the legendary host, Mr MJ Hibbett, is happy for us to call this our London launch show and try to flog a few CDs.
We played there a couple of years ago and had a smashing time so are looking forward to more of the same and catching up with a load of our London friends.
Doors will be 7pm, first act 7:30pm, and we should be on 8.45/9pm. All being well, we should be done by 9:45pm.
Also performing will be Paul & Cathy Tornbohm.
Saturday 4 June | Tonearm Vinyl, Walkley
Fresh from our Record Store Day performance at Walkley Beer Co., we’re excited to announce a free in-store set over the road at our favourite Sheffield record shop, Tonearm Vinyl.
We’ll be playing from about 2pm in their new, larger shop. So why not pop down to South Road in Walkley to hang out in a record shop on a Saturday afternoon and listen to us for half an hour as you browse the record racks (takeout beer from the beer co. is optional!)
Children are welcome!
